Who I Am
Hi, I’m Alex — a sewing machine mechanic with over 20 years of real hands-on experience.
I’ve repaired, adjusted, and serviced more than 25,000 sewing machines — from small home models to complex industrial ones.
I started this project, SewingSage Studio, to help people sew with confidence — without fear, confusion, or unnecessary repairs.
My goal is simple: to make sewing machines understandable, reliable, and enjoyable for everyone.
My Journey in Sewing Mechanics
My story with sewing machines began over two decades ago.
I graduated from a technical college as a sewing machine mechanic and later earned a degree in precision engineering.
I worked for years in a garment factory, maintaining and repairing industrial equipment.
After that, I opened my own workshop, where I’ve been helping both home sewers and professional ateliers keep their machines in perfect condition.
Later, I also taught machine operation and care at sewing and tailoring courses — showing beginners how to truly understand their machines.
